Creating a Read-Only API Token in Fastly
You can add your Fastly CDN to IO River in Read-Only mode and use it for monitoring and traffic steering (you won’t be able to modify its configuration). To create a read-only API token, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Fastly account
- Navigate to the Account settings (choose the user dropdown, and select Account)
- Select the API Tokens tab
- Click Create Token
- Fill the new token form:
- Name - for example “ioriver-api-token”
- Type - Select Automation token
- Scope
- Check Global API access
- Check Read-only access
- Access - Select All services
- Expiration - Select Never expire
- Click Create Token
Save the created token, and provide it to the IO River support team to add your Fastly CDN in Read-Only mode.
